PARENT AND CHILD CLASSES

Also known as Parent-Infant Guidance™ Classes, these classes are for parents and children anywhere between 2 months and over 2 years old.

These classes provide a unique opportunity to explore the Educaring Approach, through both observation and discussion. The roots of the Approach are based in respect and authenticity, for children and for parents, and the class provides a relaxed, safe environment to learn and grow.

The class environment is prepared with age-appropriate toys and equipment for children to explore and engage with, and the class format allows time for parents to observe and reflect, as well as to ask questions and engage.

Classes are 90 minutes and meet once a week for in 8-week sessions. Families can join when infants are as young as 2-3 months old, and classes continue until children are 2 or a little older, but families can join at any point, as long as there is space in a group. Classes meet weekly until children are 2, or a little older, allowing for children and parents to form lasting connections with one another. Groups are comprised of children with similar age (no more than 3-5 months difference in ages, typically) and development, and are limited to no more than 7 families. Both parents are welcome and invited to attend. Grandparents and other caregivers may attend with advance notice.

Classes are now being taught from my home studio in Tarzana, but I still offer a simplified, outdoor version of this class.
